10 COISAS BÁSICAS parte de uma reflexão e de uma pesquisa sobre as coisas básicas. Ao questionar as coisas básicas para a vida surgem as coisas básicas para a morte, como um pendular entre extremos.
Esta reflexão é uma necessidade vital em tempos em que se regressa à procura de uma consciência do essencial, do humano, que sofisticadamente se vai diluindo.
O que é intrinsecamente humano quando já se ultrapassou a questão da sobrevivência?
O que é então a vida e por conseguinte a morte para o homem?
Como vivemos hoje essa condição num mundo que nos afasta e liberta do essencial?
A perda daquilo que é básico, leva-nos a procurar outros sentidos, subvertendo-os, tornando-os especiais.
Pretende-se explorar a acção de "deixar para trás", da libertação do excesso e explorar os limites dessa libertação, procurando as ligações que não se podem cortar.
Pretendemos desenvolver uma pesquisa acerca do conceito de básico que se rebate numa atitude "minimalista" e a tentativa de actualização dessa "atitude".
O fascínio contemporâneo pelo minimalismo pode ser visto com uma tentativa the explorar os limites da expressão. O eliminar quase tudo, deixando quase nada. Pode a arte alcançar o indizível? Poderá esta promover um sentido dos limites da vida e simultaneamente do entendimento humano? Pode assim fazer-nos aproximar do seu sentido trágico? O trágico implica a morte. O momento de não retorno.
Qual a forma mais curta e concentrada de uma história que mesmo assim nos faz continuar a tentar?

10 BASIC THINGS starts from a reflection and research on basic things. By questioning the basic things in life, we question the basic things in death. Like a pendulum swinging between extremes.
Nowadays, this reflection arises, as a need to quest for the consciousness of what is essential, what is human, through a sophisticated thinning process.
What can be intrinsically human when the issue of survival has passed?
What is then life and therefore death for man?
How can we live this condition in a world that pushed us away and released us from the essential?
The loss of what is basic, drifting us away from the meaning of things, leading us to seek other meanings, subverting them, making them special.
We intend to explore the action of "leaving behind", as a release from the excess and to explore the limits of that freedom, looking for the links that cannot be cut.
This project developed a research about the concept of basic, intending to promote an attitude towards "minimalism" and updating this "attitude".

The contemporary fascination for minimalis can be regarded as an attempt to explore the limits of expression. By eliminating almost everything, by leaving almost nothing. Can art reach the unspeakable? Can it engender a sense of the limits of life and human understanding? Can it approach the tragic? The tracic demands death. The event from which there’s no going back.
What is the shortest, the most concentrated form of a story that still keep us trying?
