Nesta peça iremos contar uma história com a ajuda do movimento e da música. O corpo de uma bailarina é a expressão de diversas personagens, das suas relações, dos seus humores, dos seus defeitos e feitios, dos seus sentimentos e mesmo das suas palavras. Por outro lado a música dá expressão ao ambiente em que estas se encontram, aos caminhos que percorrem, aos súbitos encontros, às suas paródias e discussôes. O corpo é olhado como um espaço imaginário onde um braço pode ser o pescoço de um flamingo, a mão esquerda um enorme elefante e o pé a sua tromba. Tudo numa lógica de sugestão onde se recorre à dança e ao carácter abstracto do movimento para contar uma história. Esta peça quer mostrar o corpo como um espaço imagético, ele próprio fabulador, procurando sensibilizar as crianças para a sua plasticidade e para as qualidades narrativas do movimento e da música.

ATELIER
Vamos criar uma brincadeira para equipas de cinco crianças. Cada grupo será desafiado a inventar
e escrever uma nova versão da história do nosso amigo flamingo. Essa história será contada pelo
narrador, dançada pelo bailarino e os restantes elementos irão criar a banda sonora ali mesmo e ao vivo! Daí a uns dias cada um dos pequenos artistas receberá um dvd com o registo do seu primeiro espectáculo, inteiramente da sua autoria!

THE FLEMING’S TEMPER (2010)

In this piece we tell a story through movement and music. The body of a dancer is the expression of several characters, their relationships, their moods, their defects and qualities, their feelings and even their words. On the other hand the music gives expression to the environment in which they are held, to the paths that they pass through, the sudden encounters, their parodies and fights. The body is regarded as an imaginary space where one arm can be a flamingo's neck, a left hand an huge elephant and a foot its trunk. All of this is told in a logical of suggestion recurring only to dance and to the abstract nature of the movement with which we tell a story. Through this piece we present the body as a imagery space, the body as a storyteller, calling for the children’s awareness to its plasticity and the narrative qualities of movement and music.

ATELIER
We intend to create a game for groups of five children. Each group will have the challenge to invent and write a new version of the story of our friend the fleming. This story will be told by a narrator, danced by and dancer and all the others will create together a live soundtrack! After a few days each small artists will receive a DVD with the recording of their first show, their first work as authors!
