“EUA/CRUZAMENTO/AV. DE ROMA. Desde que me lembro, são os meus pés que me levam àquela avenida e nela me elevam a uns centímetros do chão. Depois a minha escalada piso a piso, edifício em edifício dá-se naturalmente e, mesmo que me distraia, reparo na facilidade com que atinjo, em certos edifícios, pisos já mais elevados e aí vejo que dificilmente voltarei a poisar os pés no chão.
Foi o momento em que fui levantar um rolo fotografado que vi nas minhas mãos materializada a ligação a esses edifícios, no inspirado e inspirador jogo daquelas fachadas e suas linhas, alturas e malhas. Desde então esse material não deixou mais de produzir, de tempos a tempos, outros materiais, multiplicando-se, desdobrando-se e mesmo desmaterializando-se em material novo.” Sara de la Féria

“Porquê este fascínio pelos edifícios? Pela cidade - a expressão por excelência do poder edificante de criar isolamento em espaços cheios de presença.
Esta vivência ou condição edificada, sempre tão positiva quanto negativa, foi a imagem de um futuro um dia projectada. Uma fantasia agora gasta pelo tempo e pela presença.
Talvez seja a contradição que faz vibrar o que sentimos vibrante. E dessa sensação surge de forma quase lúdica o jogo com o processo fotográfico: o negativo e o positivo - e como o jogo pode ser viciante - o negativo do positivo do negativo do positivo. Na procura de que algo mais se revele, revela-se a fragilidade matérica da película e com ela a fragilidade matérica dos edifícios.” Andresa Soares

«Since I can remember, are my feet that take me to that avenue and that raise me a few inches from the ground. After my climbing, floor by floor, building by building, that naturally happens and even when distracting me I can notice the easyness with which I reach, in some buildings, even higher floors and then I can see that will hardly land back on the ground.
It was the moment when I went to fetch some photographs and that I could see in my hands the materialization of this connection to these buildings, in the inspired and inspiring game of those facades and their lines, heights and meshes. Since then this material never stopped producing, from time to time, other materials, multiplying itself, unfolding and even dematerialized itself in new materials.» Sara de la Féria
«Why this fascination with these buildings? Across the city - the expression par excellence of the edifying power of creating isolation on spaces filled with presence. This built and edified experience - the city - always so positive as negative, was the image of a future that was one day planned. A fantasy now worn by time and presence. Perhaps it's the contradiction that vibrates what we feel vibrant. And from that feeling comes in an almost ludic way the play with the photographic process: the negative and the positive - and how this play can be addictive - the negative of the positive of the negative of the positive ... Through the search for something else to be revealed, is revealed the matteric fragility of the film and with it the matteric fragility of the buildings.» Andresa Soares
