THE GIANT WOMEN PRESENT THE GREATEST SHOW IN TOWN (2009)
The Giant Women é um trio formado pela coreógrafa sérvia Dragana Bulut, a artista inglesa Gillie Kleiman e a coreógrafa e dramaturga portuguesa Lígia Soares pelo seu encontro em Viena no programa DanceWeb em 2008.
Este projecto usa o seu próprio título, “The Giant Women Present the Greatest Show in Town”, como motor de pesquisa sobre a expectativa de sucesso na dança contemporânea, observando o efeito que este pode causar tanto no público como nas criadoras deste espectáculo.
“The Giant Women Present The Greatest Show in Town é uma performance plena de entretenimento que promete ser virtuosa e penetrante através da sua beleza à qual não faltará emoção, muito espectáculo e etcetera.. Demonstrando um crucial poder inovador numa perseguição cega pela contemporaneidade, este espectáculo conquistará certamente relevância histórica e promete, à partida, a criação de novos paradigmas que irão trazer ao futuro da dança contemporânea uma nova e revigorante perspectiva.” The Giant Women
Paródia, crítica ou tragédia sobre a corrida pelo sucesso, cabe ao espectador decidir.

The Giant Women is a trio formed by the Serbian performer and choreographer Dragana Bulut, the English dance artist Gillie Kleiman and the Portuguese choreographer and play writer Lígia Soares through their encounter in the context of the danceWEB 2008 Scholarship Program in Vienna.
The expectation created by the title "The Giant Women present the Greatest Show in Town" becomes an integral component of the project's dramaturgy and its own object of research, conducting a research on the expectation that this title can cause in both the public and the artists.
