Este projecto refere-se aos aspectos existenciais que estão na origem de uma crise. Trabalhando a solo foi desenvolvida uma personagem cuja identidade é fragmentada pelos constantes diálogos consigo própria.
A história começa quando o personagem toma consciência de uma noção de existência e nunca mais consegue adequar-se a nenhuma ideia prévia de realidade. As suas falhadas tentativas de, ora se integrar na realidade, ora escapar a esta, exime-o de sentir com esta qualquer verdadeiro compromisso. Deste modo, toda a sua existência será justificada pela precariedade da sua ligação ao real que vem paradoxalmente definir de um modo dramático a sua identidade.
Os textos desta peça dramatizam a condição desta existência, lutando para encontrar formas de justificar a criação deste personagem como uma pessoa, presente neste espaço e neste tempo.
O movimento ganha uma qualidade abstracta, não por qualquer opção estética ou formal, mas porque a acção falhou em levar as causas às suas consequências - como uma peça de teatro que se perdeu da sua narrativa.

“Em Às Origens da Crise a inquietação e o auto-questionamento juntam-se num redemoinho esquizofrénico de uma mente sempre em busca de uma identidade. Não temos nenhuma confirmação da identidade terrena do corpo que carrega um grupo de personas disfuncionais e a realidade é apenas uma ameaçadora recordação da profundidade da sua psicose.
O texto é falado com mudanças de voz, de sotaque ou mesmo da própria língua. A personagem em questão é um homem, a intérprete é uma mulher. Tanto um género como o outro não encontram em palco a sua validação. Ao longo do espectáculo a intérprete arrasta-nos através de angustiantes reviravoltas, momentos cómicos e jogos de palavras numa lúdica e rítmica disputa entre o seu repertório de personagens. “ Asaf Kolliner

AT THE ORIGINS OF THE CRISIS (2005)

This project takes as its theme the existential aspects of the origins of a crisis. Working solo, was developed a character whose identity is fragmented by constant dialogues with himself.
The story begins when the character has reached an awareness of the meaninglessness of his existence, and therefore cannot fit anymore into any given reality. His failure to either integrate into or escape from reality keeps him from feeling any commitment to it. Thus all his existence will be justified by this precarious link to reality and by the drama of not finding a recognizable identity. He finds himself standing on an impossible ground of a reality that was there before him (having not considered him in its foundation).
The texts in the piece dramatize this condition of existence, struggling to find the answers that would justify the presence of this character, as a person, in this space and in this time. The movement takes an abstract character, not through any aesthetic proposal, but because the action always fails to lead the causes to their consequences, like a theater play that always fails its narrative.

“Restlessness and self-questioning join together in a schizophrenic whirlpool of a mind ever-seeking an identity. In 'At the origins of a crisis' there is no ground, reality is but a freighting reminder of the depth of psychosis. We have no confirmation of the earthly identity of the body that carries that dysfunctional group of personnas. The well written English text is spoken in an undetermined accent and sometimes even changing voice, accent or even the language itself.
Another validation of the precariousness of the characters world is the uncertainty of Gender and form. The character in question is a male – the performer is a female, for both on stage there is not much validity. Over the course of 55 minutes approximately Ligia gets us in painful twisters, comic moments and rhyming games in which she uses repetitive moves and pauses to build expectations, and create surprises – a playful rhythmic dispute between her repertoire of characters.” Asaf Kolliner
