UM TRATADO SOBRE O EROTISMO
Não se trata de um espectáculo erótico mas sim de um espectáculo sobre e sob o erotismo, no intuito de abordar o erotismo não pelo lado sedutor e mediático da temática mas numa reflexão desmistificada do erotismo aproveitando a riqueza dessa matéria e o seu potencial estético. Assim procura-se um afastamento das questões éticas
É próprio da natureza humana “sexualizar o universo”. Na sua artificialidade (naturalmente humana), deslocar o sentido da realidade objectiva, ser simbólico, imaginar, fantasiar.
Através do material performático procura-se desenvolver o simbolismo dos gestos e acções e utilizar a linguagem, a acção de falar e a qualidade das palavras como matéria sensível e não só inteligível, com potencialidades eróticas para além do seu significado etimológico.
Como elemento unificador está o humor encontrado na subtileza das contradições e na impossibilidade de objetivação de certas realidades. Esse humor contribui para a distanciação dos intérpretes que não se pretende imergir num mundo de sensualidade e erotismo, mas manter um olhar de fora, como exploradores e catalizadores de uma realidade – a erótica.

LIVER SLICES OF COCK-FISH - A TREATISE ON EROTICISM (2004)
This project does not intend to be an erotic show but a show on and under eroticism. Instead of exploring the seductive and media side of the theme it seeks for an approach through a demystified reflection on it, taking advantage of the richness of this subject and its aesthetic potential. Therefore it seeks for a detachment from ethical issues.
It is part of human nature to “sexualize the universe”. In its artificiality the human being displaces reality's meanings, when being symbolic, imagining or fantasizing.
To create the performative material we developed the symbolic character of gestures and actions and the use of language (speaking) and its quality as a sensitive matter beyond is significance, improving erotic potentialities besides the meanings. As an unifying element, the humor found in the subtle contradictions and the impossibility of to turn objective certain realities contributes to maintain a distance and an outside view from the performers. Those will be like explorers and instigators of a specific reality – the erotic. In LIVER SLICES OF COCK-FISH is presented a simultaneously serious and ludic speech through a play with the meanings.
